Research summary
This study will assess how the presence of an anterior open bite (a gap between the top and bottom front teeth when the back teeth are biting together) impacts on that individual's oral health-related quality of life. Patients will be identified and recruited from orthodontic new patient clinics, at Birmingham Dental Hospital and at University Hospitals North Midlands.
This study is being carried to improve the understanding of how this particular group of patients are affected by their teeth. The findings will help clinicians understand the concerns that this group of patients have and therefore improve patient care.REC name
