Research summary
The project aims to examine Birmingham's Hospital Care at Home model because existing research is limited concerning older people and their unpaid and paid carers lived experiences. The project will also investigate how this care model interacts with other services e.g. social service departments. Study results will enable health and social care services to implement strategies to help health and social care practitioners learn the critical care expertise required to provide home-based care as an alternative to hospital admission successfully.
