• Data collection arrangements

  Data of clinical stroke and TIA registers will be linked to NHS data which are held electronically to create a comprehensive database for research purpose. The data will be collected by NHS staff and record linkage performed by a delegated staff from the Research and Development Department of the Norfolk and Norwich NHS Foundation Trust. Data will be stored in secured (password protected) NHS system. Data will be anonymised prior to the release of data to researchers. Researchers who use the data will not have any identifiable information of patients in the database.

• Research programme

  The database supports any researchers who may wish to use the information to answer specific research questions. The researchers will be required to submit data request form and data required to the NNUH Stroke& TIA register Steering Committee for approval.
