  • Research summary

New left bundle branch block (LBBB) is the most common conduction abnormality following TAVI implantation and its effect on survival is not known. This is a retrospective study to assess the impact of new LBB following TAVI (Transpercutaneous Aortic Valve Implantation) on survival. We shall be retrospectively reviewing the notes and ECGs of patients who have undergone TAVI. ECG, demographic, procedural and outcome data will be anonymised and recorded onto a database. This is a multi-centre study and once data accrual is complete each centre will submit there anonymised data to the host institution (St Thomas' Hospital) for further analysis and subsequent publication of the results.
