Research summary
The purpose of this research study is to continue to characterize the safety, performance, and efficacy of the commercially available medical device, the NeVa stent retriever. Following ischemic stroke, an interventional surgeon will attempt to remove the blood clot and restore the blood flow with a stent retriever in order to reduce stroke-related disability. The study is designed to compare the NeVa stent retriever to other commercially available stent retrievers.
