Research summary
Touch plays an often overlooked role in typical development. While it is recognised that individuals with ASD experience gentle touch differently to neurotypical individuals, little is known about underlying cause. We would like to invite individuals to take part in a research project studying the neural mechanisms responsible for touch processing. Participants aged 18-60 will be eligible to take part in this EEG study. Individuals will receive soft brush strokes to their right forearm by a robot designed to perform touch at specific speeds and pressures. During this time, measurements of neural activity will be taken from a number of locations on the scalp. Participation will take no longer than 2 hours and participants will receive a £15 amazon gift voucher for their time,
