Research summary
Patients attending the neuroendocrine tumour (NET) service at the Western General Hospital will be invited to participate. If they do so, blood, urine and stool samples will be obtained to assess various nutritional markers. A history of previous and current treatments for their disease will be taken. We will also ask for a history of current medication including dietary supplements.
The results of nutritional assessment from the samples will be fed back to patients individually. Pooled analysis will also be performed in relation to current and previous NET treatments.REC name
