  The National Neonatal Research Database contains data extracted from the real-time electronic patient records of admissions to NHS Neonatal Units. The data include demographics, daily care processes, medications, and clinical parameters
  including age two-year follow-up assessments.

  The National Neonatal Research Database was created to be a national resource to improve the care of newborn babies and support neonatal services through auditing, monitoring and analysing the delivery, organisation and outcomes of care, and facilitating research. It is used by a large number and range of research groups and organisations including the Departments of Health, NHS, and Health Security Agency.
