Research summary
Knowing what outcomes to measure is essential for supporting autistic people effectively. It means that services are designed and evaluated with the right outcomes in mind - ones that matter most to autistic people and their families. Quality of life is increasingly recognised as a meaningful way of thinking about outcomes for autistic people. Autistic people think about the world differently and have very person centred needs so existing approaches to measuring Quality of Life may not be suitable. This research aims to discuss and test how best to measure the Quality of Life of autistic adults and their families.
