  • Data collection arrangements

    Serum samples are collected from patients with suspected Myasthenia Gravis under the clinical care of Moorfields Eye Hospital. Samples will be collected and stored following written informed consent. Participants will be invited to donate 15ml of blood that will be processed and stored as serum samples (i.e. acellular, and therefore not relevant material under the HTA) for future biomarkers research.

    The UK's Myasthenia Gravis patient charity Myaware funded the storage of serum for biomarkers research (IRAS 178663)and this bank will continue to maintain and store these serum collected, as well as ongoing serum collection for future biomarkers research, as part of the diagnosis and management of Myasthenia Gravis.
