Data collection arrangements
We will collect and store the following data:
identifiable data such as name, date of birth and address
Questionnaires on health, wellbeing and demographics such as ethnicity and household.
Data from wearable devices already used by the participant. This may include steps, heart rate, sleep, glucose levels, stress levels, oxygen levels and other functions. The participant will already be sharing this data with the device manufacturer: we are not asking them to generate such data simply for our research.
We will remove anything that allows the person to be identified then store this data with the person's health-related (such as NHS) data.
Research programme
The database will support projects that 1) aim to discover measures of health that could predict, prevent, diagnose or monitor disease 2) aim to discover patterns of wearable data that could help diagnose disease 3) aim to discover patterns of wearable data that could help predict disease 4) aim to discover ways to use wearable data to monitor people with current health problems for signs of response to treatment or complications.
