Research summary
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between lower limb muscle volume, selective motor control, and functional ability in individuals with cerebral palsy that are able to walk independently or with the support of an assistive device such as a stick, or a walking frame. Knowledge of these relationships is important for understanding the decline in functional ability often experienced by individuals with cerebral palsy during their adolescents and into adulthood.
