Data collection arrangements
The data for this project will be collected and input by clinicians at data collections sites electronically. The data collection sites will be units where patients ordinally attend as part of their treatment for their condition. The information will only be input into the database with the patients consent and will include some patients identifiable details in order to link future data and track patients progress. There will be no additional data collected or input into the database out with what would be recorded as part of their normal care. Data will include patients name, date of birth, identifying number and their clinical details regarding their condition. The data will be stored securely and only visible to the research team. Any information published from this project will be in an anonymised format.
Research programme
This project will support all patients affected or at risk of medication related osteonecrosis of the jaws and also assist clinicians who treat and manage this condition. The information generated from the data received will inform future research and help us guide patients to an appropriate management strategy of a hard to manage condition where there is many gaps in the current knowledge.
