• Research summary

  The study primarily relates to the transfer of anonymised archival biological samples of MS patients (and controls) from established national and international tissue banks for the purposes of local retrospective pathobiological analyses at the University of Cambridge. Primary objectives will encompass analysis of mitochondrial protein expression in patient tissues and metabolomic profiling of cerebrospinal fluid. Secondary aims include proteomic, genomic, and metabolic profiling of immune cells, and proteomic, genomic, and particulate analyses of biological fluids. The data obtained will be correlated to MS-related tissue damage and disease progression.
