  • Research summary

The purpose of the study is to build a Motion analysis database of healthy and prosthetic upper limb (UL) performance. The data pertinent to UL movement and muscle activities during select task execution would be used to drive a computational model in order to analyse movements and co-ordination of the UL joints (shoulder, elbow, and wrist) and quantify functional disparities between healthy individuals and prosthesis users. The model aids in evaluating various ‘what-if’ scenarios, driving design optimizations, and enhances clinical decision-making in the field of prosthetic rehabilitation.
