Research summary
Currently available treatments for lung cancer often don’t work very well. There is a huge need to make more effective treatments that match individual patients’ needs.
The purpose of this study is to develop new cell cultures and to create laboratory models of lung cancer. The hope is that these will be useful in testing new treatments. The cells and culture systems will be shared with academic and industry colleagues in the UK and abroad to increase our chances of success and of developing new treatments.
