• Research summary

  Researchers are looking for new ways to treat 2 types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) called follicular lymphoma (FL) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
  MK-1045 is an immunotherapy trial drug, which helps the immune system fight cancer. The main goals of this trial are to learn how safe MK-1045 is, how well MK-1045 works and if participants tolerate it.
  Approximately 200 participants with FL or DLBCL aged 18 years or older will take part in this trial. A person may be in this trial if they meet certain criteria, including if they:
  • Have FL or DLBCL that either: Stopped responding to treatment (relapsed), or has not responded to treatment (refractory)
  • Never had an organ transplant
  • Do not have certain heart or nervous system problems

  Researchers will assign participants to 1 of 4 treatment groups based on what type of NHL they have:
  • Group 1: Participants with FL: assigned by chance to receive 1 of 3 different doses of MK-1045 by IV infusion (IV) every 1-2 weeks.
  • Group 2: Participants with FL: assigned to receive 1 of 2 different doses of MK-1045 by IV every 2-4 weeks.
  • Group 3: Participants with FL: receive different doses of MK-1045 by subcutaneous injection (SC) and by IV. • MK-1045 will be given every 1-2 weeks.
  • Group 4: Participants with DLBCL: assigned by chance to receive 1 of 3 different doses of MK-1045 by IV every 1-2 weeks.

  Participants will stay in the hospital for about 2 days during each of the first 3 treatments. Participants may give urine and blood samples, have tumor and imaging tests, receive physical examinations and have tests to check their heart (electrocardiograms or ECGs).
