Research summary
Mental Snapp is a video diary app for mental health service users to securely record and upload two minute clips on their mental health. These clips can be recorded freeform or in response to guided exercises, and can be tagged with mood ratings, feelings, or key words, and shared with groups that are created or joined by the user. Mixed methods including in-app/email questions, interviews, focus groups and recorded usage data will be used to explore the impact that Mental Snapp has on service users in two NHS samples - an those engaged in an IAPT service and those on the waiting list for a higher intensity Complex Anxiety, Depression and Trauma clinic.
