Research summary
This study constitutes, the researcher's (Kathryn Myhill), doctoral research. This is a qualitative study aiming to interview 25- 30 men who have been through a diagnostic prostate biopsy to ask them about their experience; perceptions of their support needs going through this and how they would like health professionals to respond to them to aid coping/ improve the patient experience. The study will involve the men participating in an audio taped interview with the researcher in a setting of their choosing (workplace, home or private room at the Royal Marsden hospital or Epsom General Hospital).
