  • Research summary

Physical activity has a significant effect on overall health. This is also true for children and young people with neuromuscular disorders. Many of these young people seem to struggle to access activities. There is no clarity as to what helps or what prevents them accessing activities and sports. This study will explore these reasons. Only when we understand the motivators and barriers to access exercise and activity, can we start considering how to overcome these. This in turn will improve the way we care for our families, and greatly benefit the children we look after.
