• Data collection arrangements

  The database will hold information about patients with Anal Squamous cell Carcinoma and and Anal High-grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesions, its precancerous precursor. It will include demographics and cancer outcomes before and after treatment.This information will be taken from patient notes, will be held in a pseudoanymised format, released in an anonymised format and used for many different research projects aimed at better treating patients with anal cancer.

• Research programme

  This database will be used by colorectal surgeons, HIV physicians, Gynaecologists and oncologists internationally as a valuable source of anonymised data that can support multiple studies and guide further research into the treatment of anal cancer.
