  • Research summary

    The aim of the study is to investigate the outcome of a extrusive luxation injuries. Luxation injuries are displacement injuries to teeth which can result in loss of vitality and rejection of the tooth by the body. \nThe study will retrospectively review the medical records of patients who have sustained such traumas and note from the clinical and radiographic reports and record the long term complications (pulp death and resorption). \nThe patients will be identified form a departmental database and the notes and radiographs will be reviewed by a clinician.\nData collection will include all important aspects of how the trauma was sustained, the presentation to a trauma clinic (walk in), the management and subsequent follow up. \nThe anticipation is that the findings would inform future guidance for the management of extrusive injuries in adults.
