  • Research summary

This study is making use of routinely collected data to identify possible long term consequences in the offspring of mothers, who have used certain medications during pregnancy. The drugs of interest are anti-hypertensives, asthma therapies, or psychotropic drugs taken by pregnant women for the treatment of an underlying medical condition. The outcomes are measured in neonates, infants, and children and will be identified using routine NHS healthcare databases. The study will possibly identify hitherto unexpected long term consequences for children that will be the focus for further study.
