  • Research summary

I am interested in interviewing relatives/loved ones of people whom have been in intensive care to try and explore some of the more positive, growth related changes that can occur in life after discharge from intensive care. We know from other areas (eg. cancer) that even very difficult and distressing experiences can result in some positive outcomes and this is what I am keen to investigate in the context of supporting a loved one through intensive care. I will collaborate with the intensive care medical and psychology team, and attend 6month follow up clinics for patients/relatives at a specialist London hospital.
