  Oral lichen planus is a poorly understood common premalignant condition. The proposed study will provide enhanced understanding of the cellular and molecular events important in the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus (OLP) and establish an in vitro model of lichen planus to enable improved diagnosis and development of novel treatment for patients.
