• Research summary

  This study has been designed to investigate the patterns of blood flow within the left ventricle and whether these patterns differ between individuals with and without heart problems. Specifically, this project will use an established non-invasive cardiac ultrasound technique called contrast echocardiography to track the flow of blood within the left ventricle. We will be comparing how these flow patterns differ between those with normal hearts and those who have had mitral valve surgery or who have left ventricular weakness that develops on stress testing.
