Research summary
This is a contract research project to be carried out on behalf of Qigenix by WiideCells Ltd. The client is an American company called Qigenix. Qigenix have developed a medical laser which has been shown to activate stem cells and enhances stem cell treatments. Qigenix now require basic laboratory data on the properties of cord blood and peripheral blood Very Small Embryonic Like (VSEL) stem cells following exposure to the laser. The properties will be assessed by using flow cytometry to assess changes in cell surface antigen expression following laser activation. The cryopreservation of laser activated stem cells will be assessed. The research will be carried out under a HTA Research License.
