Research summary
The Ion endoluminal system is a robotic-assisted bronchoscope. Clinical data has been collected for this medical device in the US for the last 6 years, however the available data from Europe is still limited due to the recent commercialization of the system. This study aims to collect broader data to demonstrate the actual usage of the Ion endoluminal system at different clinics in a real-world setting. The data will help understanding the standard practices across different regions in Europe for the Ion endoluminal system. It will also document the diagnostic and therapeutic pathway of the patient undergoing a lung lesion biopsy or localization procedure to show the long-term benefits in terms of time-to-therapy of the patients undergoing the procedure with the Ion endoluminal system.
