Research summary
MST are developing a range of biomarker tests for the management of diabetes. The purpose of this study is to support the development of a new generation of point-of-care diagnostic devices that can substantially enhance clinicians’ and patients’ ability to diagnose, monitor and manage a range of acute and chronic health conditions.
These devices have the potential to improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of care for large numbers of people. Venous and capillary blood samples collected from participants will be used to develop new products and platforms for measuring biomarkers including, but not limited to,
Glucose, C-Peptide ,Calcium, Pro-Insulin, Endogenous Insulin , Insulin Analogues , Maltose, Ketones , Xylose, Coagulation, HbA1c, Potassium, Creatinine, TSH , T4 (free Thyroxine), Uric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, CRP, Sodium , Chlorine, Iron, Urea, Total protein, Albumin, Gamma GT, Bilirubin.REC name
