Research summary
This study aims to understand the specific (unmet) needs and requirements germ cell cancer patients have during follow-up, in face-to-face and remote models of care.
During the study, we will be conducting interviews with patients to better understand their needs and what they see as most valuable during follow-up. These discussions will help us determine how to best identify patients’ needs during their follow-up and any new ones they might suggest. It will also provide potential solutions on the type of support people expect when voicing a need.
This study is part of a bigger project that aims to inform clinical practice by creating guidance documents for nurse-led remote follow-up after germ cell tumours.
This new model of follow-up will tailor remote follow-up services to patients’ wider needs, making follow-up less burdensome and reduce the strain on clinical services.REC name
