Research summary
We aim to utilise questionnaires and focus group interviews to better understand what the experiences are of International Medical Graduates joining the NHS. The gathered information will inform a comprehensive induction programme that facilitates integration into the NHS. This programme will subsequently be evaluated for it's effectiveness in improving confidence, patient safety, team-work, communications and dealing with medico-legal issues.
A 360 evaluation will encompass both self-reported surveys as well as clinical supervisor reports. Participants of the focus group will be exclusively international medical graduates who have no prior experience of working in the NHS.
