Research summary
The international BPA registry is an international, prospective, multi-centre, long-term observational project run by the International CTEPH Association (ICA). Its primary objective is to investigate the efficacy and safety of Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty (BPA) intervention in patients with Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTPEH) not amendable to surgery (PEA). The registry will run for approximately 4 years with a follow up time for each patient of at least two years. This is an observational registry to answer a specific research question. Participants will not receive any intervention or changes from normal clinical practice as a consequence of taking part.
