Research summary
New teams of nurses, therapists, specialists and mental health workers have formed in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. These will provide joined up care for patients. The Integrated Care Research Study will be following these teams as they grow and develop.
The aim of the study is to gain knowledge and learning of all aspects of the teams. This will help us understand what makes it hard for the teams and what helps them. We also want to know how the different professionals work together in one team. We will be talking to patients to see how they experience the new care and ask what their views are. We will also be looking at what happens to patients if they go to hospital and if this is any different to what happened before the new teams.
We will use the findings from this study to make recommendations for the future, including other areas setting up similar teams. We will also look at how we train professionals in the future and see if we need to change what we teach them.REC name
