  The study will look at the pattern of haemodynamic and other clinical markers in sepsis; this will be compared with the pattern of proteins, genes and metabolites expressed in blood or urine specific to each infective process in those children who require blood tests as indicated by the NICE ’Feverish illness in children’ clinical guidelines.
