Research summary
An investigation into the impact of a practitioner initiated 10 minute telephone pre-appointment intervention on the attendance of patients aged between 16 and 24 (N=202) at assessment appointments with an IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy) area team. A Randomised Controlled design Trial is utilised and the attendance of the intervention group (n= 101) is compared to a business as usual control group (n=101).
