Research summary
Peripheral cues surrounding the way food is presented to an individual exert influences on the experience of food consumption as well as the amount consumed. Such influences may result in improved food intake and satisfaction. We intend to do two studies to examine this. Study 1 will ask volunteers to ’score’ photographs and examples of plates, cutlery, trays, serviettes. Using the highest scoring products, Study 2 will examine if using these leads to higher food consumption and meal satisfaction.
