  • Research summary

The research aims to gain an understanding of what is it like living with ACD to PPD in black hair dye in Asian women.

This is a qualitative study. A phenomenological approach will be followed by selecting Asian female patients with known ACD to PPD found in the black hair dye. To gain an understanding of the experience of Asian women regarding ACD to PPD, it is essential to talk to patients with ACD to PPD and collect a range of accounts of what patients with ACD to PPD experience living with that allergy. Therefore, Husserlian’s descriptive phenomenology (Husserl, 1970) is the most suitable methodology for this study. Semi structured interviews has been chosen as the method of data collection for this study.
