  • Data collection arrangements

    All patients attending Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust for a procedure will be approached to ask for their consent to join the Trust's Discover Plus project. Consent is taken either by fully trained Discover Plus consenting staff or my clinical staff with duty of care. Samples are stored at HTA registered locations on Imperial College Healthcare Trusts constituent hospitals (Hammersmith, Charing Cross, St Mary's, Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea) and Imperial College London's South Kensington Campus.

  • Research programme

    The Imperial College Healthcare Tissue Bank supports academic research on the disorders or function of the human body from within Imperial College and its associated NHS Trust, as well as external academic, private and public sector researchers worldwide. All researchers must submit a formal project application for access to materials via the Imperial College Healthcare Tissue Bank's Tissue Management Committee who will review the proposal.
