  • Research summary

The purpose of this study is to understand the impact that interstitial lung disease has on patients and their carers in order that we can improve the service we offer and share this information with our colleagues in other areas.\nThe study will involve speaking to patients who attend a specific patient support group and/or clinics at the Rotherham Specialist community respiratory unit known as BreathingSpace about the purpose and aim of this survey and ask for patients/carers to tell us if they are interested in being interviewed.\nThe interviews will take place either in BreathingSpace or the patient’s own home at their choice. They will all take place with myself and be voice recorded. The interviews will be anonymised, transcribed and analysed by myself. \nOnce analysed I will produce a report which will be available to participants and will be submitted to conferences and submitted for publication.
