  • Research summary

The study will ask parents/carers of children and young people with autism and autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) to complete a short questionnaire about their views regarding participation in clinical trials relating to autism/ASD, and whether they perceive there to be any barriers to participation in these. Questionnaires will be offered to parents/carers of patients in relevant outpatient clinics, via departmental newsletters, and shared via local relevant organisations (e.g. third sector autism/ASD charities). The questionnaire will be anonymous and will not record any patient data. Parent/carer email may be collected for contact about future related studies (optional and stored separately to responses).
