    All HTA-licensed activities at Caeruleus Genomics Ltd are carried out within a secure, access-controlled facility located at the BioEscalator Innovation Building, Old Road Campus, Oxford. This site has been internally assessed and determined to be appropriate for the storage, handling, and processing of human tissue in line with HTA requirements.
    Key areas relevant to HTA-regulated work include:

    ● Room 696.20.12 – Primary HTA storage area housing the designated -80°C freezer complete with temperature monitoring.This room is also Caeruleus Genomics’ dedicated laboratory space and is under exclusive access control by Caeruleus personnel. Access is restricted to those with a suitable key.

    ● Room 696.20.26 – Secondary backup storage location. This room is a shared-access freezer space within the BioEscalator. Caeruleus Genomics maintains clearly labelled, restricted-use shelf space within the shared -80°C freezer, governed by internal SOPs. The freezer is also temperature monitored and maintained by the Bioescalator by trained staff. Access is restricted to those authorised by the facility and enforced with the use of ID cards.

  • Research programme

    Research supported by the Human Resilience Biobank (HRB) will focus broadly on how age, genetics, and environmental/lifestyle factors influence human musculoskeletal health and resilience. Studies may include, but are not limited to: Molecular and cellular investigations of ageing, regeneration, and tissue repair in skeletal muscle, bone, tendon, cartilage, adipose, and related tissues. Comparative analyses of healthy versus diseased or post-operative tissues, using material collected from both patients and volunteers. Use of advanced omic technologies (e.g., long-read sequencing, single-cell profiling, proteomics, metabolomics) to map pathways involved in resilience, decline, and recovery. The HRB will initially collaborate with the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust, with scope for expansion to other NHS and academic partners following appropriate ethical and institutional approvals. Through the Human Resilience Biobank, Entelo Bio aims to: Establish a sustainable and ethically governed resource for research into human ageing and resilience. Enable the identification of molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying frailty, recovery, and longevity. Support both academic and translational research, including the discovery of potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Promote data transparency, collaboration, and equitable benefit sharing between NHS, academic, and industry partners.
