Research summary
Original text;
We aim to observe the amount of health resources consumed by a cohort of patients selected and receiving Reactiv8 and patients selected and suitable for Reactiv8 but not offered Reactiv8 treatment (as recruitment to a single arm prospective post marketing clinical follow up trial was fully recruited). Reactiv8 therapy is not currently reimbursed. To achieve this aim, we propose to perform a retrospective health resource utilisation review in these selected chronic low back pain patients. Healthcare resource utilisation will be collected over the 5 years prior to selection.New text;
This study is to find out the health utilisation of patients with chronic back pain who are suitable for, or have received treatment using Reactiv8 multifidus nerve stimulation, a non NHS funded treatment. Participants will be asked to provide information on what healthcare they have received/used in the past 5 years, either through the NHS or through private funding. This will enable us to undertake a cost analysis.REC name
