Research summary
The aim of this study is to use semi-structured interviews with a structured vignette and pile sorting exercise to investigate the health beliefs of British Indians suffering from Type II diabetes. The study aims to gain an insight into the compliance of medication, any social or cultural barriers to diabetic management, food and eating practices and the knowledge the patients have of their condition and its long-term complications.
