Research summary
The purpose of this research study is to map the progression of the earliest HD related changes that can be found in young gene-positive adults and to identify the optimal time at which therapeutic intervention could be given to prevent HD related changes and decline. We will do this by carrying out a number of assessments, including cognitive, behavioural, psychiatric and biofluid assessments and neuroimaging at two time points. This will be added to the data from the HD-YAS v1.0 study to create a model of early HD related changes in young gene-positive adults over time.
