Data collection arrangements
Routinely collected anonymised clinical data will be stored in a data warehouse on a secured GSTT/KCL server and will be managed by a dedicated data scientist who has a (honorary) contract with both GSTT and KCL. Anonymised data will only be transferred from a GSTT to KCL environment using encrypted iron keys.
The data warehouse will be stored on a secured server with access restricted to named personnel. The server is firewall protected. It also provides auto failover redundancy in the event of hardware failure. The data backup schedule follows standard full backups.
Research programme
As part of our research strategy at Guy’s Cancer, we want to invest in pioneering clinical cancer research using real world evidence. Future research using the data in this study could lead to medical and scientific products that improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
