  • Research summary

    This will be a randomised controlled trial which will test the efficacy of 4x 1 hour sessions plus a one hour refresher session of guided self help using the Living Life to the Full Cognitive Behavioural Therapy materials. The participants will be young people aged 12-15 years old from Hermitage Academy. Changes in participants' pre and post intervention/no intervention; and comparisons to the control group will be measured using the validated Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). A 1 hour refresher session will be given to the intervention group at 6 months prior to their completing the SDQ. All participants will complete the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire at screening, 6 months and 12 months and scores compared to previous scores and scores between the control and intervention group.
