Research summary
GP federations, defined as groups ‘of practices and primary care teams working together, sharing responsibility for developing and delivering high quality, patient focused services for their local communities' are emerging in response to the pressures facing primary care. Little is known about how these new organisational forms are working. This study will use interviews with staff and patients and observation of staff meetings to shed light on this topic.
