Data collection arrangements
Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service (GPTS) works with adults affected by Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) and other trauma related presentations. It provides a range of evidence-based interventions to support recovery. GPTS will collect Routine Outcome Measures that monitor clinical presentations at the beginning and end of treatment. This will allow the service to audit response to treatment, improve delivery of interventions, and contribute to research projects on Complex PTSD and other trauma related presentations. The anonymised data will be stored on a secure database controlled by the GPTS Research Group.
Research programme
GPTS currently host Masters and Doctoral students from a range of academic training institutions who complete research projects as part of their course. There are many research trained clinicians within the service with the skills to evaluate aspects of the service and contribute to our understanding of how to meet the needs of different populations affected by CPTSD. The GPTS Service User group will contribute to the design and collaborate with research projects using the data, they will also receive feedback from research conducted.
