Research summary
We plan to understand how the function of certain cell types of the immune system is regulated. We plan to address this using laboratory techniques where we can alter the amount of certain key parts of the cells and then see if this affects their function. Understanding what parts can regulate the immune system will inform on new ways to alter the immune response which could help understanding of various disease and develop new therapies.
