Research summary
A previous study has recruited and characterised 100 patients with Type 2 diabetes that were diagnosed with diabetes before the age of 40 years old. This study will follow up those patients repeating measurements taken in the previous study to look at how their diabetes has progressed and its effect on their quality of life.
Additionally a sub-group of the cohort will be interviewed to explore in detail participants perceptions of the disease and its treatment; and how it affects their life.
